WALDOBORO — Residents of Regional School Unit 40 – which represents Friendship, Union, Waldoboro, Warren, and Washington – will decide on a $26,299,247 school budget on June 13.

The budget, which represents a 4.67 percent or roughly $1 million increase, would increase the local share in Waldoboro by $213,882, or 4.2 percent.
Voters approved the budget at the annual district-wide meeting on May 16.

The increase to taxpayer costs could vary depending on the state subsidy awarded to the towns in RSU 40.
