UNION — Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery is teaming up with Sweetgrass Farm Winery and Distillery to offer dads a memorable day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Father’s Day.

Sweetgrass Farm, producer of wines and spirits including the popular Back River Gin is hosting Appleton Creamery, which features a wide selection of cheese, from its popular Camdenbert to award-winning Chevre. A free concert on the lawn with Lauren Crosby singing songs from her new album, “Back River Beauties,” will begin at 2 p.m.; bring a lawn chair and relax.

Travel 5 miles through the hills of Union to Savage Oakes, where the winery is cooking up its own farm-raised beef and pork for a farm-to-table barbecue. Savage Oakes will also host artisan cheesemakers, including State of Maine Cheese Co., Copper Tail Farm, and ME Water Buffalo Co., which creates its cheeses from cow, goat and water buffalo milk.

Fiore Artisan Olive Oils and Vinegar will be on hand with its products, as well as Stone Fox Farm Creamery with homemade ice cream. The Maine Antique Tractor Club has been invited to display its antique treasures while you enjoy Savage Oakes wine, local beer or one of Savage Oakes’ signature cocktails made from local ingredients.
