Music is a path I’ve taken despite myself, really.  I grew up around a lot of really talented musicians - Earl Bigelow is my stepdad.  I’m releasing my first full album now, Earl and I have gone back and forth over it, but when you’re working with your stepdad you have to draw the line somewhere.  We would argue constantly about the direction the album was going in, that’s one of the reasons I’m not recording it at his studio [laughs].

Maine receives $2 million for redevelopment PDF Print E-mail
AUGUSTA – Maine has received a $2 million BRAC Implementation Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.  Funding will support a workforce and economic development project in the greater Brunswick area as the region prepares for the closure of Naval Air Station Brunswick between 2009 and 2011.

AUGUSTA – Rep Seth Berry, D-Bowdoinham, says that over the last eight years, every single Verizon phone customer in Maine may have paid excessive rates totaling as much as $800 per line.  Worse still, he calls even a partial refund "unlikely at best."

BATH - This Sunday, Maine’s Democrats will caucus to determine where Maine will stand on presidential preference.  Because of the results of primaries last week, there are now only two candidates - Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
