Gates Foundation Improves Maine Libraries PDF Print E-mail
SEATTLE, WA – The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced today $8.1 million in grants to help public libraries in 11 states improve and sustain free, quality access to computers. These Opportunity Online grants specifically will help upgrade computer hardware in public libraries serving communities with high concentrations of poverty that are at risk of having outdated technology.

Benoit and Prescott to hold public energy forum PDF Print E-mail
TOPSHAM - On Thursday, July 24 at 7 p.m. at the Topsham Town Office, State Senator Paula Benoit and Representative Kerri Prescott will be holding a public energy forum.  The purpose of the forum is for the people of Sagadahoc County to voice their concerns, offer ideas, and discuss ways to deal with the energy crisis facing Mainers today.
