BRUNSWICK – State Representative Stan Gerzofsky (D-Brunswick) recently announced his intention to run as a Clean Elections candidate in State Senate District 10, made up of Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell, and Pownal.
He has been serving since 2000 as Democratic Representative for part of Brunswick. Gerzofsky said, “I look forward to serving my neighbors in Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell and Pownal. I’ve had solid support in the past and will continue every day trying to earn that trust in the future.”
Gerzofsky is completing his fourth term in the House as Representative for district 66. He has been involved in planning the transition of the Naval Air Station land for successful development on the Brunswick Local Redevelopment Authority, and he continues to serve on the Governor’s Economic Advisory Council.
An enthusiastic advocate for extending passenger rail from Portland to Brunswick, he said, “I plan to continue the work that Senator Beth Edmonds and I have been doing for Downeaster service to beautiful downtown Brunswick. We must make this vision become reality when I am your Senator.”
