Thank you to all the midcoast residents who took the time to donate blood during the Waldoboro VFW’s Blood Drive, on Tuesday, February 19. Your generosity helped the Red Cross collect more than 50 pints of life-giving blood.
This event is only possible because of the volunteers who help operate the donor center. The following individuals spent the entire afternoon assuring the success of the Waldoboro Blood Drive: Andrea Kennedy, Becky Maxwell, Eva McLain, Faye Hauck, Bernadette Steele, Eileen Dondlinger, Bob Kanewske, Jim Salsman, Gilbert Collamore, and John Flaherty.
To the donors, we salute you as true heroes. Your actions will make a difference in the lives of strangers whom you will never meet, but whose life are saved because you took the time to donate. For this, you have our eternal gratitude. Your spirit and initiative are what make America great!
