Phippsburg cleans up PDF Print E-mail

The Phippsburg Clean Up Day Committee, along with the Phippsburg Fire and Rescue Department, would like to thank everyone who volunteered time, money, and goods to our annual town Clean Up Day on April 26.  Once again, we had great weather to be enjoyed by the many townspeople who chose to spend their Saturday morning helping us to clean trash from the sides of our town roads.

Many thanks also go to the Phippsburg Police and Sagadahoc Sheriff’s Departments for monitoring traffic throughout the morning, and to the Ladies’ Auxiliary for preparing and serving lunch.

This year, we noticed that there was not as much trash along the roadsides as we have seen in the past.  We’d like to thank both residents and visitors for this noticeable improvement, and ask for your continued support.  Everyone can help by continuing not to litter, and by picking up trash, cans, and bottles when convenient.  Residents can dispose of appropriate items at the town landfill, and cover their refuse loads before driving to the transfer station to avoid items blowing out during the transport.

Thank you again to everyone for your time and continued efforts to keep Phippsburg clean.
