BRUNSWICK - The public is invited to an Energy Conservation Workshop at the Curtis Memorial Library, Morrell Meeting Room, Brunswick August 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The event is hosted by Senate President Beth Edmonds, D-Brunswick. Senator Edmonds will review issues addressed in the recent Governor’s Pre-Emergency Energy Task Force report, with ideas that will help Maine be better prepared, and will help keep people safe and secure in an environment of high energy prices. Dale McCormick, Director of the Maine State Housing Authority will present all programs available through their agency for Maine people in need. Home Energy Audits will also be discussed.
Efficient heating systems for home and business will be discussed by a spokesperson from Downeast Energy. Plans are for a representative from Efficiency Maine to talk about alternative energy systems. Bath Savings will be on hand to present options for home energy loans of various types.
