Bath YMCA summer antiques show PDF Print E-mail
The Bath Area Family YMCA will hold their popular summer antiques show on Wednesday, August 13th at the their facility at 303 Centre St.  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This is a new location for the show which had been held at the Bath Middle School in previous years.  This venue is easy to find as it is located just off Congress Ave.

Forty five antiques dealers from throughout New England will be offering a wide variety of antiques at this forty-seventh annual August event. The Bath YMCA is continuing to produce this show, which has been a Bath tradition for years.  Residents, visitors and dealers alike await this wonderful sale each summer.

The promoter, Polly Thibodeau, announces a full show with many returning exhibitors from previous years. Some of the special items are hooked rugs from Ed and Jane Carr, Tim Gaudet with Victorian glass and china, and Phil and Bev Reynolds with Americana funiture and accessories. A great selection of transferware and ironstone will be offered by Barabara Weinz of Drake's Antiques. Another wonderful booth to check out will be Japanese art and porcelains from Josiah Smith Antiques in Hallowell. There will be a strong selection of country, formal, and folk furniture as well as many accessories.   The many diversified dealers will round out the show with sterling, books,  paintings, textiles and more. Again this year’s show promises to be full of unique and fresh antiques, from the serious to the whimsical, displayed by knowledgeable dealers.

Proceeds of the event aid the scholarship fund of the Bath Area Family YMCA. The volunteers and staff will offer a  luncheon menu including lobster rolls, salads, wraps and homemade desserts featuring blueberry cakes and pies.  A new addition this year will be a silent auction of items and services. So, plan to come to the show August 13 at the Bath Area YMCA – shop the great collection of antiques, enjoy the lunch, bid at the silent auction and learn more about the Bath Area Family YMCA and it's programs.    Admission to the show is $5.00 and for more information contact Polly Thibodeau at 443-8983.
