DAMARISCOTTA — Looking for a new career or considering going to college? Then the Lincoln County College Connection (also known as “TLC3”) can help get you started, and can even offer you tuition-free college courses.
Take “Elements of Mathematics,” starting Thursday, September 20”; “Introduction to Computer Essentials and Online Learning,” starting Tuesday, October 2; or “English 101” – all offered tuition free.
Indeed, all of the college transition courses and workshops offered through TLC3 are free. Program costs are paid for through a College Transitions grant from the State of Maine.
TLC3 is a collaboration of the Central Lincoln County, Boothbay Region, MSAD 40, and Wiscasset Adult Education programs, with classes in each program. The goal of TLC3 is to provide college transitions services to the residents of Lincoln County, who are graduates of an adult education program, adults who are returning to school after an interruption in their education, or adults referred for developmental courses to prepare for post-secondary education.
For more information, or to register, call College Transitions Counselor Melinda Gilman at 449-6011.
