‘Discover the Jewel’ magazine being distributed PDF Print

ROCKLAND — Fresh from the printers, 100,000 copies of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce's new 184-page area guide and business directory, titled "Discover the Jewel of the Maine Coast," have been unloaded at their storage areas in Warren, Rockport, Lincolnville, South Portland, and Gardiner. Distribution is underway.

The first mailing comprises almost 10,000 magazines, and will start leaving the Chamber offices next week. It will take a team of staff and volunteers about a month to mail them all. Bulk distribution to state info centers, Chambers of Commerce, AAA offices, and more has also started.

 
BRCTC to hold open house PDF Print

BATH — The staff of the Bath Regional Career and Technical Center (BRCTC) will host an Open House on Thursday, March 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be program demonstrations, building tours, raffles, and food. BRCTC serves students from Morse High School, Wicasset High School, Boothbay Region High School, and Lincoln Academy. Programs offered at BRCTC include Applied Academics, Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Commercial Arts, Composite Technologies, Cooperative Education, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Technology, Engineering Graphics, Health Careers, and Welding and Metal Fabrication.

Home and Garden Show to be held in Damariscotta PDF Print

DAMARISCOTTA — The Central Lincoln County (CLC) YMCA's 2012 Home and Garden Show will be held Saturday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from this event will benefit the CLC YMCA's various projects, including scholarships for the kids' summer camp, and the new swimming pool.

This Spring Home and Garden Show will be filled with ideas, home inspiration, hands-on demonstrations, seminars, and one-stop shopping for everything you will need for those spring projects. A fundraiser for the CLC YMCA, this event will host more than 60 vendors from Lincoln County and beyond, showcasing the newest products and hottest trends for both inside and outside the home.
