BATH — Located in friendly and inviting downtown Bath on Front Street, Solo Bistro offers an affordable opportunity to spoil yourself just a little. They focus on using local, fresh and organic products whenever possible, and it certainly shows. My guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our midday meal.
The room was bright and cheery. We were fortunate enough to get a table by the street. It was nice to look out of the large windows down hilly Front Street. The walls were decorated with what I would describe as modern art, interesting and different from the norm in these parts. The service was exemplary, prompt, courteous and friendly.

BRUNSWICK — Henry & Marty Restaurant and Catering invite the public to view new work by Brunswick-based sculptor and Bowdoin College art professor John Bisbee. Restaurant owners Paul Hollingsworth and Aaron Park commissioned this large-scale installation for their Maine Street eatery. The untitled piece is nearly eight by 20 feet, and can be viewed at this special event on Monday, May 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. John Bisbee will be in attendance to answer questions and speak about his new work. The restaurant will be closed for dinner service during the event with a cash bar available.
Known for his forged-nail sculptures, the installation at Henry & Marty Restaurant marks a new direction for Bisbee. For this new piece, Bisbee burned planes of wood with branding irons forged from bright common nails. Henry and Marty Restaurant is among the first locations where Bisbee’s new work is available for public view.
