Lee’s Tire has been serving the Midcoast for 40 years this August, a feat attributable solely the Gagne family, who started the business themselves.

“My wife [Mary] and I started it,” said Lee Gagne.

The story of the business starts with an employer not realizing just who they had.

“I worked for a tire company, before I started my own, and they weren’t treating me right. So, I decided to go out and do it on my own. So I bought the piece of property and put up my own building. We didn’t have any money, but we made it work,” said Gagne.

BATH — Living in an assisted living facility is a scary prospect for a lot of people to confront. Numerous horror stories exist of aging residents being treated poorly, living in stark clinical settings, and having to move from place to place as the resident’s needs change.
