Lee’s Tire has been serving the Midcoast for 40 years this August, a feat attributable solely the Gagne family, who started the business themselves.
“My wife [Mary] and I started it,” said Lee Gagne.
The story of the business starts with an employer not realizing just who they had.
“I worked for a tire company, before I started my own, and they weren’t treating me right. So, I decided to go out and do it on my own. So I bought the piece of property and put up my own building. We didn’t have any money, but we made it work,” said Gagne.
