I am writing to voice my support for the re-election of Greg Page to represent Ward 1 on the Bath City Council. Greg – an involved citizen, born and raised in Ward 1, graduate of Morse High School, 20 years ago returned permanently to continue residence in Ward 1 where he and his wife remain today.

I have known Greg nearly 15 years – meeting him shortly after moving to Bath. Over the years we have become friends through various civic and social interactions where we shared similar interests. Three years ago when he was running for the Ward 1 seat, I asked why he wanted the position.

His response: “Bath has and will continue to be my home and I feel it my responsibility to try to assist and give back to my community.”

In his three years as city councilor, I have observed Greg doing exactly that – being well prepared with thought-out positions for board meetings, routinely asking opinions of those in the community regarding important upcoming issues, and working well with the city leadership. At times we have disagreed on specific issues – but he always has taken the time to understand and consider my point of view.

Greg has for decades been a strong supporter of our community, including the YMCA Youth Development Program, Bath Heritage Days events, and Morse Sports Boosters. I strongly urge re-election of Greg to the City Council of Bath, continuing a strong thoughtful presence.
