BATH — Commuters were likely having flashbacks to when the Bath viaduct was under construction earlier this year after a two-car accident snarled southbound traffic on the Sagadahoc Bridge.

The accident, which occurred sometime around 3 p.m., involved a pickup-truck heading north, and a flatbed tow-truck heading south. According to Bath Police Department Sgt. Dan Couture, it appears the pickup lost control near the end of the viaduct and struck the tow-truck.

No one was injured in the crash, according to Couture.

The location of the accident forced the southbound lane of the viaduct to be closed for a period of time, leading to traffic snarls along the Sagadahoc Bridge.
