BATH — Artist Sarah Greenier will be teaching an 8-week painting workshop on Tuesday mornings, starting Jan. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Lessons, which will include techniques for painting in oil or acrylic mediums, are designed for both beginning and intermediate students. Greenier’s intuitive instruction is aligned to the enjoyment of learning to paint, as well as exploring more advanced techniques for experienced painters. Classes will be held in her studio/gallery at 428 Middle St.

Each class will start with a painting demonstration, along with instruction in design, color, shapes and values, tailored to each individual student. Students will paint from photographs, as well as still life.

Greenier grew up on Orr’s Island, and studied art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She is an award-winning oil painter, and has shown her work throughout Maine and New England. She currently exhibits at Greenier Studio/Gallery, as well as Small Wonder Gallery in Camden, and Boothbay Region Art Foundation.

The cost of the 8-week session is $235. For more information or to sign up, call 443-3936, email [email protected], or visit
