BRUNSWICK — Brunswick Downtown Association held its annual meeting this morning at Bowdoin College’s Daggett Lounge.

Matthew Orlando, chief financial and administrative officer of Bowdoin, introduced BDA board members and conducted the election of incoming BDA board members and officers.

Annual awards were presented to BDA Member of the Year: Coastal Enterprises Inc.; Business of the Year: Frontier Cafe; and Volunteer of the Year: Annie O’Rourke.

Debora King, BDA executive director, gave the state of the association update and presented a video entitled, “A Day in the Life of Brunswick, Maine,” showcasing the town’s vitality, variety, and community spirit.

Attorney Art Lamothe drew the winning raffle ticket for BDA’s “Escape to Tuscany” trip. The winning ticket was purchased by Pat and Nancy O’Brien, owners of Fiore Oils and Vinegars.

In addition to the trip, the ticket includes a Tuscan-themed dinner for two at The Brunswick Inn, discounts on wine, and Italian language and travel tips from Tim O’Brien (no relation) owner of Enoteca Athena. The trip is valued at $8,500, tickets were sold for $100 each.

O’Brien, a BDA board member, arranged the 6-night trip for two to Tuscany through the owner of Poggio Allora in Italy.
