BATH — Join the Patten Free Library in celebrating a month of love by participating in its “Love Your Library” event. During February, the library will be selling $1 red hearts for patrons to purchase and show how much they love their library.

Just stop by the library all month long to buy a heart and hang it on the display. All proceeds will go to supporting the Sagadahoc History and Genealogy Room.
This year the “Love Your Library” campaign will be part of Main Street Bath’s “Be Bath, Buy Bath” event, which also starts Feb. 1. Participants who buy a heart at the library can also get their “Be Bath, Buy Bath” cards stamped.

Library director Lesley Dolinger says, “Fundraisers like the ‘Love Your Library’ campaign help us achieve our mission to inspire lifelong learning in our community. We love being part of downtown Bath and participating in Main Street Bath events. We have many downtown businesses that support the work of the Patten Free Library – we are so happy to be a part of this vibrant city.”
