Henry and Marty Restaurant in Brunswick hosted a dinner last month to benefit the Oasis Free Clinics.

The dinner raised $8,000 for Oasis’ free medical, dental and prescription assistance services.

“This is the largest fundraising event in Oasis’ history,” said Anita Ruff, Oasis’ executive director.  “We are grateful for the generosity of the Henry and Marty team and their vendors who donated goods and supplies.”

Henry and Marty Restaurant has been hosting benefit dinners for local charities for over a decade.

“We are pleased with how many people turned out,” said Paul Hollingsworth, Henry and Marty Restaurant co-owner.  “We are committed to giving back to the community by supporting charities that are making a difference.

In addition to the cost of the meal, the restaurant’s staff donated their time and tips to Oasis.

“We were glad to be able to help Oasis,” said co-owner and chef Aaron Park.

Several vendors, including Flight Deck Brewing, Bisson Farm, Six River Farm, Hahn’s End Artisanal Cheese, Shain’s of Maine Ice Cream, Moses Dyer Coffee Roasters, Harbor Fish, Standard Bakery, Native Maine Produce, Sysco Foods, and General Linen also contributed to this event.

Oasis Free Clinics provide free medical, mental health, and dental services, as well as prescription assistance, for uninsured, low-income residents of Freeport, Durham, Brunswick, Harpswell and Sagadahoc County.
