BATH — Bath will celebrate the arrival of spring with Mayfair, a day-long event featuring a citywide yard sale. Individual households will hold yard sales, as well as numerous nonprofits set up in Library Park. If it rains, the nonprofits will be located in the Freight Shed on Commercial Street.

Downtown will be bustling with businesses holding sidewalk sales. Children’s activities including hula hooping, sidewalk chalk, jump roping and face painting, at the corner of Front and Elm streets. Charlie the Trolley will be offering free rides throughout the day, departing from City Hall.

Waterfront Park will feature opening day of the Bath Farmers Market from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as it moves into the open air after the winter selling locally grown foods in the Freight Shed.

The Long Reach Girl Scouts will be holding a Rain Gutter Regatta at the pavilion. You can build and race a boat out of recycled materials from 9 a.m. to noon.
