The Edgecomb Community Church has been at its present location at 15 Crosspoint Road in Edgecomb since 1881. A prominent local landmark, this historic church has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1987.

The ECC recently began a campaign to raise funds to repair the steeple, which has structural damage. The church requested support from various foundations, church members, friends and neighbors. A $15,000 matching grant was awarded from the Maine Steeple Fund managed by the Maine Community Foundation in Ellsworth.

To date, the church has have raised $21,500 toward our goal of $35,000. Repairs will begin later this year.

As the only active church in Edgecomb, we support the community, the peninsula and Lincoln County in many ways including: free weekly lunches for the public; support for the Eldercare Network of Lincoln County; fuel assistance for the peninsula; support for abused women; and Habitat for Humanity.

Donations to support the repair to the historic steeple may be made by sending a check or money order payable to the ECC Steeple Fund, PO Box 113, Edgecomb, ME, 04556. Donations may also be made by clicking support on
