BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Platinum-selling country singer Suzy Bogguss is set to return to The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, Nov. 10. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

According to a press release, the audience can expect an intimate night of music backed by her new trio, including Craig Smith on guitar and Elio Giordano on upright bass.

The show will include Bogguss’ radio hits “Outbound Plane,” “Drive South,” “Hey Cinderella” and “Aces,” as well as songs from her latest albums — “Lucky,” which celebrates the songwriting of Merle Haggard, and “American Folk Songbook.” Bogguss is also planning on debuting new material for the first time since  originals for the first time since her 2007 jazz album “Sweet Danger.”

Bogguss, 61, performed in Boothbay Harbor in September 2014 and has been looking forward to returning to the coastal town.

“Playing the Opera House in Boothbay is always a highlight of our tour season,” she said via email. “The acoustics are fabulous, and the audience knows how to get involved, so every show is unique and spontaneous.”

Playing in Boothbay gives the band a chance to escape into the music because of the way the show flows thanks to the lively audience, she said.

“I can’t wait to play in Boothbay. It’s such a cool venue with a really intimate space,” she said.

Bogguss is currently writing and preparing for her next album as well as continuing to play with her trio. She is also a part of Chicks with Hits, a new tour with fellow country singers Pam Tillis and Terri Clark. She finished a United Kingdom tour in January and played shows with guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.

Each show is unique and spontaneous, and Bogguss’ band members said that the set list for the show is just a suggestion.

“It’s very fluid. If I feel like the audience wants to hear a particular song or if there’s a request, I am happy to shift gears. I’m just loving these intimate rooms and interacting with the crowd,” she said.

Advanced tickets for the show are $30.
